Nominations Are Now Open for the Intelligent Community Forum’s 2024 International Awards. Deadline: Feb 15, 2024.
The Intelligent Community Forum has opened nominations for its 26th annual Intelligent Community Awards. The Awards honours cities and regions for developing inclusive economic growth and the strong social connections and rich local cultures it can support – and doing it amidst the accelerating change and challenge of this Digital Century. Canadian communities honoured in past awards range from Toronto, Montreal and Winnipeg to Stratford, Surrey and Saint John. Awards in Three Stages:
In March 2024, ICF will name its Smart21 Communities, selected through analysis of data on hundreds of cities, counties and regions. The Smart21 announcement will take place during the Smart City Summit and Expo in Taipei, Taiwan, which will be attended by an economic development mission of ICF member communities. In June, New Taipei City will host the Top7 Conference, where ICF will name the seven communities selected by its independent analysts from among the Smart21. The 2024 Awards culminate with the announcement of the 26th Intelligent Community of the Year at the ICF Global Summit in October 2024.
Why Apply?
Award winners gain international status in support of economic development because winners are chosen from among hundreds of communities around the world. The Award program deliberately includes small, midsize and large cities as well as counties and regions, because it evaluates policies, programs and results, not just technology. Communities with populations as small as 15,000 have competed successfully. There is no cost to submit a questionnaire – which can open the door to other services including a detailed assessment of community strengths and weaknesses compared with ICF’s global dataset.
