Civic Commons Catalyst: a new initiative of Future Cities Canada

The Civic Commons Catalyst is a new initiative of Future Cities Canada which offers an array of programming to support and scale existing civic initiatives, prototype new participatory models and support resident-led activities. Over the past 12 months Evergreen has engaged its growing audience over many webinars, building a following of over 500 community hub practitioners, funders, and interested residents to demonstrate the range of ways community hubs add value to communities.

These community hubs across Canada are unique models demonstrating local value propositions.

Behind the scenes, Evergreen has been working closely with five community hubs across the country – BC Artscape, The Winnipeg Boldness Project, Entremise, Synapcity, and COLAB – to understand how to best support the vital work that community hubs do. The outcomes of the Future Cities Canada lab process being used in this work will be ready for public eyes in September 2020.
